The third link may duplicate what happen today in Batu Kawan, to Butterworth and Kepala Batas, in future, if third link constructed. Development brought modernization, but not everything are good. I view this bring positive and negative effect to the particular area. From one point, it make travel to city with ease, and connecting the places. Bad consequence effect for development is the soar of properties price and make a normal local people to that area harder to own a dream house.
By the way, this just some of my personal point of view. The properties price at Taman Merbau Indah did soared with the third link announcement. A rural and peace housing area, now become the center spot for property agents, as there are numerous of houses to let go. Most of the properties to sale are from Phase 2, and Phase 2A of Taman Merbau Indah's project. Hardly find property from Phase 1 and Phase 3 to let go. For quick reference, the selling price when the properties launched back in 2006 was RM190,000 ++ for 2 storey terrace, and RM270,000 ++ for Phase 2A's 3 storey terrace back in year 2009.
